On-site Classes
Acumen Training teaches all of its classes on corporate sites throughout the world. John has
taught classes at corporate sites in all the major cities in the United States and in many cities in
Europe, Asia, and Australia, including Amsterdam, Munich, London, Tokyo, Delhi, Sydney, Guadalajara,
and Moscow.
On-site classes are taught for a fixed fee plus travel expenses.
Scheduling a class
To schedule an on-site class at your company, contact John Deubert at Acumen Training.
- You and John will together set a date for the class.
- John will send you an estimated charge for the class, based on the fees listed below.
(Note that travel expenses can be only estimated ahead of time.)
Classes Outside the United States
Classes outside the United States have the same pricing as those within the country. Click
here for a few notes about on-site classes outside
the United States.
On-Site Class Fees
On-site classes are charged a fixed fee plus the instructor's travel expenses. There are two tiers
for the fixed part of the fee: an On-site 8 class can have up to 8 students; On-site 16 classes may
have up to 16 students.

Site Requirements
Below are the equipment requirements for on-site classes. If you wish, John can arrange rental of
this equipment and a classroom in your area.
PostScript & PDF Classes require the following equipment:
- At least one computer per two students; better would be one computer per student. Each computer must
have the following installed on it:
- Windows 2000 or later or Mac OS X 10.3 or later.
- PostScript classes: The full Adobe Acrobat package (including Distiller)
installed on each computer; alternatively you may have Jaws Systems' PDF Creator and
the Acrobat Reader installed on each computer.
- PDF classes: Acrobat Reader 6 or later installed on each computer.
- White board or equivalent writing surface
- Computer projector with a minimum resolution of 1028x768.
- Additional free software will be supplied by Acumen Training.
XPS Classes require the following equipment:
- At least one computer per two students; better would be one computer per student. Each computer must
have the following installed on it:
- Windows XP or later or Mac OS X 10.4 or later.
- An XPS viewer of some flavor. Microsoft's XPS development package includes a Windows-based
viewer. There are also other, commercial viewers, including
XPS Viewer by Sanatech and
NiXPS View by NiXPS
- White board or equivalent writing surface
- Computer projector with a minimum resolution of 1028x768.
- Additional free software will be supplied by Acumen Training.
Payment Terms
Class fees are billed net 30. The client will be billed for class fee and expenses after the end of
class.
